1. Who we are and what this covers

Dealzo: Discounts, BOGO, Gifts ("Dealzo", the "App") is a Shopify app published by Wyron Technologies ("Wyron", "we", "us"). It lets merchants run volume discounts, buy-X-get-Y offers, free gifts, bundles, cart discounts, wholesale pricing and POS offers, calculated by Shopify Functions and shown on the storefront through theme blocks.

This policy explains what data the App collects from a merchant's Shopify store and from the merchant directly, how we use and protect it, how long we keep it and how it is deleted. It also explains what the App does not collect about the merchant's customers. Our company website has its own privacy policy.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@wyrontechnologies.com.

2. What the App does not collect

Dealzo offers are compiled into a configuration stored on automatic discounts inside your Shopify store. When a shopper's cart changes, Shopify runs the App's functions on its own infrastructure and prices the cart there. Our servers are not called from your storefront or checkout.

The storefront blocks and the gift auto-add embed read a metafield on your store and talk only to your store's own cart; they send nothing to us. We therefore never receive shoppers' cart contents, names, email addresses, addresses, phone numbers or payment details.

Wholesale pricing works on customer tags. The App lets you pick a tag; it does not store a list of your customers or any individual customer's details. When Shopify forwards a customer data request or erasure request, we record that it arrived and have nothing to return or delete.

3. Information we do collect

From your Shopify store, through the Shopify API and the permissions you grant when you install the App (write_discounts, read_products, write_products, read_customers, write_cart_transforms, read_locations, read_orders, read_themes):

  • Store profile: myshopify domain, primary domain, timezone, currency, money format, Shopify plan and whether the store is a development or Plus store.
  • Products, variants, collections and tags you search for or select in the offer builder. We store the IDs and titles of the items an offer targets, and an index of which products each offer touches, to power the product finder.
  • Customer tags you choose for wholesale offers. Only the tag names are stored.
  • Order statistics: for orders that used a Dealzo offer we record, per offer per day, the number of orders, revenue, discount amount and gift units. We do not store order numbers, line items or any customer field. Until Shopify approves order webhooks for the App, these figures are gathered by reading recent orders through the API with customer fields excluded.
  • Locations, for POS offers, and the theme list, to check whether the Dealzo blocks and embed are installed.
  • Your Dealzo subscription: plan and status, as reported by Shopify Billing.

Information you enter in the App:

  • Offers and campaigns: names, notes, targets, conditions, rewards, limits, schedules, combination rules, channels and the storefront text and design settings you set.
  • Shop settings: stacking defaults, exclusions, notification preferences and storefront design tokens.

Information the App generates:

  • The compiled configuration published to each discount, bundle product records for fixed bundles, and an audit log of actions taken in the App (created, published, paused, deleted) with the time and the name or email of the Shopify staff member who performed them.

Technical information: our servers keep standard request logs (IP address, time, requested URL, errors) for security and troubleshooting. The App uses Shopify session tokens to know which store and staff member is signed in. It does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

4. How we use the information

  • To store, validate, compile and publish your offers as automatic discounts, cart transforms, bundle products and the storefront metafield.
  • To show you which offers include a product, which offers shadow each other, and how each offer is performing.
  • To apply your plan according to your Shopify plan and subscription.
  • To answer your support requests and investigate errors.
  • To keep the App secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, use it to build marketing profiles or use it to train machine-learning models.

5. Roles under data protection law

For your business and staff details, your offers and your settings, we are the controller (or Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), because we need them to operate the App.

Your customers' data is processed by Shopify when it runs the App's functions and by your own storefront when it adds a gift to a cart. That processing takes place under Shopify's terms and privacy policy and under your agreement with Shopify; Wyron does not receive or process it.

6. Where data is stored and how it is protected

The App runs on Google Cloud Run in the Mumbai region (asia-south1) and stores its data in a managed PostgreSQL database. All traffic between your browser, Shopify, our servers and the database is encrypted with TLS.

Shopify access tokens are short-lived and rotated, and are deleted the moment the App is uninstalled. Secrets are held in Google Secret Manager, not in code or configuration files.

Access to production systems is limited to Wyron staff who need it to run and support the App, and is protected by multi-factor authentication. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we apply the measures reasonably expected of a provider in this category.

7. Who we share data with

  • Shopify Inc.: the App reads from and writes to your store through Shopify's APIs, and Shopify sends us webhooks about installs and subscriptions. Shopify's own privacy policy applies to its platform.
  • Google Cloud, which hosts our servers, and our managed database provider, which stores our database, each under their standard data processing terms.

We do not share data with anyone else, except when the law requires it, or if Wyron is involved in a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you before your data is transferred and this policy continues to apply.

8. How long we keep data, and deletion

While the App is installed we keep your offers, campaigns, statistics and audit log so the App keeps working and your history is available.

When you uninstall the App, Shopify removes the App's automatic discounts and cart transform from your store, so no offer keeps applying. We delete your access tokens and sessions at once and mark your offers as paused. Bundle products the App created are part of your catalogue and remain in your store; unpublish or delete them if you no longer want them.

Forty-eight hours after uninstall, Shopify sends us a shop/redact request and we permanently delete everything we hold for your store: profile, offers, campaigns, product index, statistics and audit log. If you reinstall within those 48 hours, your offers are restored.

You can ask us to delete your store's data sooner by emailing us from the address on your Shopify account. We act on such requests within 30 days.

9. Your rights

You can view and edit your offers and settings at any time inside the App, and export offers as JSON and statistics as CSV. You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of any personal data we hold about you or your staff, or object to its processing, by emailing us.

We respond to all requests within 30 days. If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, to your local supervisory authority.

If you are a customer of a store that uses Dealzo, we hold no data about you. Please contact the store directly about your data; it is held by the merchant and by Shopify.

10. International transfers

Our servers are in India. Shopify and our infrastructure providers operate globally and may process or back up data outside India. Where that happens we rely on those providers' contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required.

11. Children

The App is a business tool for merchants and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we handle your data we will tell you inside the App or by email before it takes effect.

Summary for the impatient

Dealzo stores your store profile, your offers and per-offer daily totals, nothing about individual customers. Discounts run inside Shopify. We encrypt everything in transit, never sell data, and erase your records 48 hours after you uninstall.
