1. Who we are and what this covers

Shipzo Shipping Rates & Rules ("Shipzo", the "App") is a Shopify app published by Wyron Technologies ("Wyron", "we", "us"). It lets merchants hide, rename, reorder and discount shipping rates at checkout using rules that run as Shopify Functions.

This policy explains what data the App collects from a merchant's Shopify store and from the merchant directly, how we use and protect it, how long we keep it and how it is deleted. It also explains why the App does not receive data about the merchant's customers. Our company website has its own privacy policy.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@wyrontechnologies.com.

2. What the App does not collect

Shipzo's rules are compiled into a small configuration and stored as metafields on a delivery customization and an automatic discount inside your Shopify store. When a customer checks out, Shopify runs the App's functions on its own infrastructure, evaluates the cart, the shipping address and the customer's tags there, and applies the result.

Our servers are never called during checkout and never receive cart contents, order details, shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details or any other information about your customers. The optional checkout block for Shopify Plus has no network access; the discount codes it records are kept in a cart attribute that stays inside Shopify's checkout.

Because no customer personal data reaches us, Shopify's customer data request and customer erasure webhooks are acknowledged with nothing to return or delete.

3. Information we do collect

From your Shopify store, through the Shopify API and the permissions you grant when you install the App (read_products, read_shipping, write_delivery_customizations, write_discounts, read_companies, read_markets):

  • Store profile: store name, myshopify domain, primary domain, store email, contact email, store owner's name, country, timezone, currency, Shopify plan, and whether the store is on Shopify Plus or is a development store.
  • Products, collections, B2B companies and markets you search for while building a rule. We store only the ID and display name of the items you pick, so the rule reads correctly later.
  • Shipping method titles from your shipping profiles, shown in the target picker. Titles you select are saved as part of the rule.
  • Your Shipzo subscription: plan name, status and trial end date, as reported by Shopify Billing.

Information you enter in the App:

  • Rules: name, description, status, priority, actions, target methods, conditions, schedules and any labels or discount text you type.
  • Settings: safety rail, weight unit, admin language, and the checkout block's title, message and free-shipping threshold.
  • Support tickets: category, subject, message, a reply-to email address, optionally the related rule, and up to five screenshots you choose to attach.

Information the App generates:

  • A change log for each rule recording what changed, when, and the name or email of the Shopify staff member who made the change.
  • Compile records: time, size and rule count of the configuration published to Shopify, with any warnings.
  • Plan change notices listing which rules were paused, suspended or restored when your subscription changed.
  • For each support ticket, a context block with your store details, plans, active rule count, app version, browser user agent and the admin page the form was opened from. This is shown to you under the form before you send it.

Technical information: our servers keep standard request logs (IP address, time, requested URL, errors) for security and troubleshooting. The App uses Shopify session tokens to know which store and staff member is signed in. It does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

4. How we use the information

  • To store your rules, compile them and publish them to your store's delivery customization and automatic discount.
  • To enforce your plan's limits and switch the price action and checkout block on or off according to your subscription.
  • To show you your rule history and plan notices.
  • To receive, answer and track your support tickets, and to send you an acknowledgement email with the ticket number.
  • To keep the App secure, prevent abuse (for example the limit of ten tickets per store per day) and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, use it to build marketing profiles or use it to train machine-learning models.

5. Roles under data protection law

For your business and staff details, your rules and your support tickets, we are the controller (or Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), because we need them to operate the App.

Your customers' data is processed by Shopify when it runs the App's functions during checkout. That processing takes place under Shopify's own terms and privacy policy and under your agreement with Shopify; Wyron does not receive or process that data.

6. Where data is stored and how it is protected

The App runs on Google Cloud Run in the Mumbai region (asia-south1). Rules, settings, tickets and sessions are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, and support screenshots in a private Google Cloud Storage bucket that is not publicly readable.

All traffic between your browser, Shopify, our servers and our databases is encrypted with TLS. Shopify access tokens are short-lived and rotated, and are deleted the moment the App is uninstalled. Credentials for our support mailbox are held in Google Secret Manager, not in code or configuration files.

Access to production systems is limited to Wyron staff who need it to run and support the App, and is protected by multi-factor authentication. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we apply the measures reasonably expected of a provider in this category.

7. Who we share data with

  • Shopify Inc.: the App reads from and writes to your store through Shopify's APIs, and Shopify sends us webhooks about installs, subscriptions and deleted products or collections. Shopify's own privacy policy applies to its platform.
  • Google Cloud: hosts our servers, database and file storage under Google's data processing terms.
  • Our email provider: support ticket emails and acknowledgements are sent from our support mailbox through its mail server. Your ticket, its context block and screenshots travel through that server.

We do not share data with anyone else, except when the law requires it, or if Wyron is involved in a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you before your data is transferred and this policy continues to apply.

8. How long we keep data, and deletion

While the App is installed we keep your rules, settings, change logs and tickets so the App keeps working and your history is available.

When you uninstall the App, Shopify removes the App's delivery customization and automatic discount from your store, so checkout returns to normal immediately. We delete your access tokens and sessions at once and mark your subscription as ended.

Forty-eight hours after uninstall, Shopify sends us a shop/redact request and we permanently delete your store's records: profile, rules, change logs, plan notices, settings and support tickets. Screenshots uploaded with tickets are deleted from storage within 30 days of that request.

Support emails already delivered to our mailbox are kept for up to 12 months so we can follow up on open issues, then deleted.

You can ask us to delete your store's data sooner by emailing us from the address on your Shopify account. We act on such requests within 30 days. Reinstalling within 48 hours restores your rules and settings.

9. Your rights

You can view and edit your rules and settings at any time inside the App, and export or import rules as JSON. You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of any personal data we hold about you or your staff, or object to its processing, by emailing us.

We respond to all requests within 30 days. If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, to your local supervisory authority.

If you are a customer of a store that uses Shipzo, we hold no data about you. Please contact the store directly about your data; it is held by the merchant and by Shopify.

10. International transfers

Our servers are in India. Shopify and Google Cloud operate globally and may process or back up data outside India. Where that happens we rely on those providers' contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required.

11. Children

The App is a business tool for merchants and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we handle your data we will tell you inside the App or by email before it takes effect.

Summary for the impatient

Shipzo stores your store profile, your rules and your support tickets, nothing about your customers. Checkout rules run inside Shopify. We encrypt everything in transit, never sell data, and erase your records 48 hours after you uninstall.
